Projects Completed in 2018
2018 has been a very busy year for the team here at Premier Construction & Design. All year long, we’ve been hard at work on some very exciting projects and we’re extremely proud of the great work our team has done to see them through to completion. Before we officially say goodbye to 2018, we just wanted to highlight some of these great projects.
GFL
After outgrowing their previous headquarters, GFL wanted to make sure their new space in Southfield, Michigan would be able to keep up with their growing company. We worked with them to create a sleek, modern office space that not would not only grow with their company but also creates a positive work environment that supports employee wellness and provides ample natural light. As you move from the custom lobby desk throughout the rest of the space, there are many wood elements that bring warmth to the space, as well as pops of the signature GFL green.
Raleigh Officentre Lobby
A dramatic lobby never fails to make an impact and we were thrilled to be able to get so creative with the flooring in the Raleigh Officentre lobby, a design/build collaboration with the team at Davis & Davis Interior Design. Take a look at our time lapse video to see how we removed a planter and turned the flooring into the main focal point of the lobby, giving it a brand new, very modern look.
Associate Dermatology
Seeing a doctor isn’t something people usually look forward to, but having a stylish office to visit definitely helps. When working with Associate Dermatology, we wanted to create a space that was both modern in design and comfortable for patients and employees.
City Center Gym
The building owners of City Center in Southfield wanted to enhance the building with tenant focused amenities including a cafe and gym. Both spaces played with dynamic flooring designs that complimented the building lobby finish. We love using large format graphics in spaces to really liven up the environment.
Katsu
We were very excited to help bring a new, highly anticipated restaurant to Detroit’s Woodbridge neighborhood. Katsu Detroit is an Izakaya-style Japanese restaurant with the perfect setting for communal dining. Izakayas in Japan traditionally feature discreet entrances with wooden doors and that’s something we were able to recreate in this space. We also incorporated dark wood elements throughout the space to create a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
Chassix
As you design an office space, it’s always a good idea to look for ways to reflect corporate identity. This cafeteria we created for Chassix’s offices is a great example of how easy it can be to use branded colors to create a space that helps build a sense of company culture.
Luxoft
For companies that produce innovative products, it’s very important that employees be able to easily collaborate with each other. The offices we created for Luxoft’s offices in Farmington Hills, Michigan are all about allowing connections to happen naturally throughout the day, with an open area for workstations and other meeting areas that allow small groups to gather.
Meritus Communities
When working with Meritus Communities, we aimed to create a space that is elegant and timeless, but still featured things that today’s workforce is looking for. Throughout their space, you’ll see lots of dark wood features that will never go out of style, but we also had fun creating a fitness center, which is one of the most popular office amenities right now.
If you’re planning to renovate your office in 2019, contact Premier Construction & Design. We’ve been working with companies in the Metro Detroit area since 1987 and we’d love to hear more about what you need from your new space. For more examples of our work, see our portfolio and case studies.
