Premier had the opportunity to partner, once again, with the team from Midwest Dermatology, this time at their Warren location, to give their outdated interior a much-needed face-lift. The space, which had not been touched in 20 years, was dull and uninviting and the client wanted to reintroduce a modern and sophisticated interior for their staff and clientele. Premier’s design team worked with ownership to bring life back into the space to create a positive image for staff and guests.
The doctors’ vision for the space was to create an environment that wowed patients as they walked through the door and gave them a relaxing, spa-like experience. Throughout the office, the team at Premier introduced a modern feel, with a calming color palette and stacked wood accents.
With the reception being the main interaction point for clients and staff, these areas warranted a little more attention to design details. The reception desk received a sleek quartz counter that waterfalled into the waiting area. Stacked wood brought warmth into the space while framing the redesigned reception desks. 3Form panels create privacy between guests checking in and out of the office while recessed linear LED light fixtures brighten up the space.
In the exam rooms, millwork was reworked to provide doctors with a more practical work zone. Luxury vinyl tile was introduced for cleanability and introduced a homey aesthetic, and LED lighting replaced the existing fluorescent fixtures. Solar shades were installed to give patients privacy and help the doctors focus during examinations.
Staff areas received the same neutral color palette with paint accents to help liven up work areas. The break room was expanded to allow the space to double as a training room for the doctors and a glass backsplash added a touch of sophistication to the newly remodeled millwork.
The Premier team transformed the space from a dull, lifeless interior to a timeless space that is soothing and uplifting for both patients and staff.
