Madison Office Building was an outdated 60,000 square foot commercial office building with 25% occupancy and in need of renovation. Due to its central location in Madison Heights, near many businesses, shops, and restaurants, it was an ideal location for an apartment complex. The buildings ownership approached Premier Construction & Design to come up with an initial concept that was priced and taken to the city where Premier Construction & Design and building officials reviewed the process and feasibility of changing from a Business occupancy to Multi-family.
The conversion resulted in 57-units that featured 7 different unit types ranging from a Studio apartment with 520 square feet to a 2-Bedroom / 2-Bath apartment with 1,090 square feet. Significant care was given to the openness of the units and upgraded feel, including solid surface countertops, sleek cabinetry, and stainless-steel appliances. Premier’s design team was than commissioned with creating two model apartments to show how the open floorplan design could be laid out and furnished. Once the transformation was complete, the property was rebranded as The Tremont.
Premier Construction & Design team of designers, architects, estimators, superintendents, and project managers were able to facilitate this job for the building owner from concept to completion.
