750 Tower Drive, a vacant seven-story building, was identified as one of the initial target buildings for overall improvement within the owners portfolio acquisition. Initial exterior and interior upgrades included: parking lot resurfacing, roof replacement, exterior painting, landscape upgrades, internal building system restorations, and general maintenance and repairs. In an effort to increase building appeal for potential clients, Premier’s Construction & Design team remodeled the three-story lobby with a more modern aesthetic in mind. The Zen-like atmosphere incorporates an impressive water feature, enchanting birch trees, exotic granite accents, contemporary architectural lighting, and sleek, yet durable finishes warmed with rich wood details. New elevator surrounds and doors completed the lobby renovation.
Magna International Inc., a leading global supplier of technologically-advanced automotive systems, initially leased 117,000 square feet of office space at 750 Tower Drive with plans to add a technical center to the building. Magna moved into floors five, six and seven in September 2013. Premier’s Construction & Design Team then completed build outs on additional floors to accommodate the other divisions moving to the new headquarters. During the renovation project, Magna decided to purchase the building and commissioned Premier to design and build a conference facility, showroom, data center, and cafeteria and dining facility that is serviced by Plum Market. As result of the outstanding service Premier provided throughout the entire renovation process, Magna continues to look to the team for enhancements to their space both at this building and others in the Metro Detroit region.
