Office Inspiration: Lounges & Casual Areas

We all need a break once in a while. Taking some time to get away from your desk can be a nice way to relax, socialize with coworkers, and give your mind a chance to rest. Why not take those breaks in style? A great lounge area is an excellent way to help make your employees feel appreciated. If you’re in need of a little design inspiration, take a look at some of the lounges we’ve worked on to get some ideas.

Another big reason why lounges are so important is because they give people a chance to get away from the commotion of the rest of the office. Sometimes, you just need a little peace and quiet and this lounge gives people just that. Not only is this lounge fully separated from the rest of the office, the biophilic design influences help make the space even more relaxing.

Comfortable seating is key in any office lounge and this space definitely has plenty to go around. The chairs in this lounge look so comfortable that we can’t imagine this space stays empty for long. That seating truly invites people to relax and make themselves at home. If a person needs a break from spending time at their desk, these chairs offer a great change of pace.

One of the great things about office lounges is that they can give you an opportunity to have some fun. Many companies like to put a playful spin on their lounges and this one is a good example of that. This space puts a playful spin on the term lounge and definitely invites people to relax and get comfortable. The colorful pillows and green divider are a perfect fit with the overall look of the office. Office design can be a reflection of company culture and with a lounge like this, it lets people know that this is a company with a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere.

Sometimes, it’s nice to just take a moment and enjoy the view. As the old saying goes, location is everything, and we love where this lounge is placed. Not only is it close to the windows, it’s very conveniently placed in relation to the other areas of the office. The yellow chairs and pillows add a nice pop of color, too!

When it comes to lounges, location is a major thing to consider. While they need to be a reasonable distance away from workstations, they still need to be convenient for everyone to use. This lounge location is ideal, giving people a comfortable place to take a quick break during the day or get together with coworkers to discuss a project.
